This 1963 Porsche 356 has been turned into one trippy art car maaaannnnnn. This super-rad Porsche belongs to David Duthu – who calls his 1963 Porsche 356 Reutter Sun Roof Coupe “the Psychedelic Surfer Dude.” The bodywork “is an escapist tribute to a bygone era of peace and love.”

Inspired by album covers, concert posters and paintings of the 60′s and 70′s, Duthu and Robynn Sanders, an artist who specialized in restoring murals, transformed this classic Porsche into a psychedelic art car. Its numerous honors include top billing at the Houston parade in 2009, and an invitation, along with Sanders, to “Cars as Canvas” exhibition at Petersen’s Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
