Porsche is celebrating its 10th anniversary in China with a special edition model. Based on the Turbo S, and limited to only 10 production units, the model features a gold painted exterior. Also on board is a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber rear spoiler and 19-inch Sport Classic wheels.

But this special edition doesn’t stop outside. Interior additions have been added to enhance this model. The Porsche cabin has been outfitted with Alcantara sport seats, carbon fiber trim and exclusive sill plates. There’s also a Sport Design steering wheel, unique floor mats and special badges.

Power comes from a turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 523 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed PDK transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-to-62 in 3.3 seconds, while hitting a top speed of 196 mph!

Porsche has teamed up with German Tuning company RUF to produce the first all electric Porsche. The rechargeable electric vehicle was built into a 911 Cayman mule, and is powered by (get this) 96 lithium ion battery packs! Maybe Porsche should join up for a new Energizer ad campaign…It keeps going, and going and going…

So how fast does an electric Porsche go? Remember, this is not some Go-Green earth loving initiative, it’s a project by RUF’s Tuning/Performance enhancing department. Those 96 power packs can boost this 911 Cayman from 0-to-60 in under 7 seconds. That’s with help from the 204 horse power electric motor and its 480 lb-feet of torque.

RUF’s batteries happen to weight an astonishing 1200 lbs – although they do not seem to weigh down the car too much. Porsche states the vehicle should be able to achieve a top speed of anywhere between 140 and 180 miles per hour – with a full charge of course.
