But did you also know with the towing capacity of their all new Cayenne, they make great tractors too? That’s what one Danish farmer decided to prove when he strapped the hoe (who you callin’ a hoe?!) to the rear end of his brand new Porsche.

“The Porsche Cayenne Turbo generates an impressive 450 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque from its twin turbo V8, more than enough to pull the roller along the ground.” says Jalopnik. Well, it’s true – the farmer has plowed more then a few yards of his fields with the German automobile. Hey, the work’s gotta get done somehow.

So long, Panamera, we hardly knew Ye. According to a report at Car Magazine, the VW-Porsche merger would mean an end to larger Porsche vehicles – the Cayenne and Panamera. Sad really, Panamera hasn’t been officially released more then a few months!

According to Car Mag & World Car Fans: While the models would likely survive until 2016, it appears VW’s Chairman, Ferdinand Piëch, wants Porsche to focus on sports cars instead of doing a little bit of everything. In a rather ironic turn of events, Piëch will effectively kill off the models spearheaded by ousted Porsche boss Wendelin Wiedeking. As you may recall, Wiedeking was one of the masterminds behind Porsche’s failed attempt to takeover Volkswagen.

Despite having mixed feelings about the Cayenne, it’s undeniable that the sport-ute was a huge money maker for Porsche. This makes a possible death sentence a little questionable, especially since Piëch wants to double Porsche sales in four years. To accomplish this goal, Volkswagen will likely develop a shared platform that would underpin a new entry-level Porsche as well as a sporty new VW or Audi.

RUF Tuners have brought a unique concept to the 2009 Geneva Auto Show – an enhanced Porsche Cayenne tuned to look like a Porsche 911 Turbo. Along with the classic round curves of a Porsche 911 in the front / rear, this RUF Porsche (dubbed the Dakara) contains ceramic brakes and a turbocharged V8 with 600 Horse Power. Nice!

According to RUF (while at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show):
The High Luxury SUV built by RUF is named Dakara and is based on the Porsche Cayenne. The exterior and interior is able to embrace the most ambitious wishes. Because of the 911-headlights, the Dakara affects like a sports car. Four 22 inch- five spoke wheels and the broadened fenders demonstrate pure power. The bodykit fits to every Cayenne. Cameras in the front and in the back of the Dakara cater for the panorama view. The interior room is affected by complex processed leather trim which does not only fascinate with the precious materials but also with the new designed seats. A High-End Multimedia system with TV-reception, access to the internet and a CD-/DVD-Changer will gratify even the highest requirements. The V8-Turbomotor offers an engine output of 600 horsepower (600 Ps) at 6000 rpm. The maximum torque of 659 lb-ft/lbs (890 Nm) is delivered at 3000 rpm. So the Dakara is able to reach the speed of 62 mph (100 Km/h) in 4,8 sec. The chassis as well as the brake system are adjusted to the high requirements. Even ceramic-composite brakes are available. The Dakara perfectly ties in with the RUF model-range.

It will be interesting to see how many Porsche fans are willing to retrofit their Cayennes – the base model of this sports SUV is one of the German Auto Maker’s best sells to date.
